About Westport:

Westport, a quiet village with a population of about 700, is a very popular destination spot for tourists due to the number of interesting shops in the town. Whether you come by boat or by car, you will find Westport caters to most of your needs. Westport has rolling farmland to the south and more rugged terrain, in the form of Foley Mountain, to the north. In addition to public docking facilities, Westport offers a full range of land-based accommodations.

There is a lot to do and see in Westport. There are many interesting shops, two local golf courses and swimming beaches. The nature enthusiast will want to visit Foley Mountain Conservation Area, which offers a great view of Westport, as well as provides for many opportunities for hiking and nature viewing. The Rideau Trail, extending from Kingston to Ottawa, runs through the Foley Mountain Conservation Area.

Local attractions include 8-10 golf courses in the immediate area, and shows at the Westport arena (art, antique, boat..). fishing derbys. The annual Antique Show and Sale is held on the first weekend in June, the annual Rideau Valley Art Festival at the end of August, and the very popular Fall Colours Studio Tour annually on Thanksgiving weekend in October. Westport attracts visitors and tourists from all of Eastern and Southern Ontario and the NE U.S.

Year round accommodation is available as the property is on the village water system. The house has all conveniences of hot and cold running water and a 4-piece bath with shower. It is fully furnished with three bedrooms providing two twin beds, a sofa-bed, and a single to comfortably accommodate five.
